1995 - 2009

1994 – American and German professors started delivering lectures at Grigol Robakidze University.

1995 – Grigol Robakidze University was included in the catalogue of the world higher educational institutions (among only five higher educational institutions of Georgia).

2001-2003 – Tempus TACIS project of the European Union was implemented at Grigol Robakidze University.

2001 – Lecturers of the University passed internship at the universities of England and Sweden within the scope of the Tempus TACIS Project.

2001 – The University signed the agreement with the American Institute in Prague (Czech Republic).

2001 – UNIFEM – the project of the United Nations Association “Gender, Conflict and Peace Building” was implemented.

2002 – The Agreement was signed with the American Institute of Applied Sciences in North Caroline (USA).

2002 – On the basis of the agreement with the American Institute of Applied Sciences in North Caroline (USA), one student of the Faculty of Law passed the course in criminalistics at the mentioned higher educational institution.

2002-2003 – The distance learning programme in accounting was accomplished with Seattle Central Community College (USA).

2003 – The Agreement was signed with Council of International Programs USA (CIPUSA).

2003 – Grigol Robakidze University was invited to participate in Oxford Round Table. The Rector of the University, Professor Mamuka Tavkhelidze was elected as a full member and consultant of Oxford Round Table.

2004 – The University signed the Agreement with the University of Georgia (USA).

2004 – On the basis of the agreement with the University of Georgia (USA), four students passed different courses at the mentioned University,

2005 – Within the scope of Fulbright programme, Professor of Nebraska University (USA), senior Fulbright specialist Beverly G. Merrick delivered master class, lectures, seminars and presentation in Mass Communication for 6 weeks.

2005 – The agreement was signed with Cambridge International College (UK).

2005-2006 – The project “The Programme of Civil Education of Youth in the Field of Human Rights” financed by the Embassy of Switzerland in Georgia was implemented in the University.

2006 – Three students of Grigol Robakidze University participated in the Conference “The Foundations of Culture” held by the Neuwaldegg Institute (Austria). The project was financed by the Neuwaldegg Institute.

2006 – The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia published the publication of Alexander von Humboldt Fund (Germany) where is indicated that Grigol Robakidze University is listed in the World List of Universities (the

World University Catalogue) and is recognized in Germany.

2006 – The educational programme in Management and Administration based on the programme of St. John’s College of Annapolis (USA) started functioning at Grigol Robakidze University.

2007 – The University signed the Agreement with Budapest International School of Business (Hungary) and started implementation of Georgian-British-Hungarian programme.

2008 – Grigol Robakidze University signed the agreement with Bukovyna State Finance Academy (Ukraine).

2008 – Joint seminars of students and professors of St. John’s College of Annapolis (USA) and Grigol Robakidze University Academy “New Gelati” were held at the University. The project was financed by the American

non-governmental organization “OLEG” (Organization for Liberal Education in Georgia).

2008 – On the basis of the agreement with the International Business School in Budapest (Hungary), two students of the Faculty of Business and Management passed one year course at the mentioned higher educational institution.

2008 – Grigol Robakidze University became the full member of ELFA – European Law Faculties Association.

2008 The University signed the Agreement with the international organization STUDDEX.

2008 – Director of the Centre of Academic Standards and Quality Management participated in the “Open World Program 2008” which was held in Georgia (USA). The Program was financed by the Library of Congress.

2009 – English language specialist Ms. Jennifer Herrin (USA) held professional development seminars lecturers and students of Grigol Robakidze University. The project was financed by the US Department of State.

2009 – Grigol Robakidze University and St. John’s College (USA) accomplished the joint educational summer programme “Athens and Jerusalem”. The project was financed by the American non-governmental organization “OLEG” (Organization for Liberal Education in Georgia).

2009 – Berlin Free University (Germany) in cooperation with Grigol Robakidze University conducted the International Seminar in Conflict Simulation in Caucasus in Tbilisi and Bakuriani. The project was implemented by the financial support of DAAD.

2009 – On the basis of the agreement with the International Business School in Budapest (Hungary), two students of the Faculty of Business and Management passed one year course at the mentioned higher educational institution.

2009 – Students I International Festival of Publicistic TV Programmes and Documentaries “Centaur” was held at Grigol Robakidze University.

2009 – Grigol Robakidze University participated in the International Business Forum organized by the Office of State Minister for Diaspora Issues.

2009 – Grigol Robakidze University signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with the University of Szczecin (Poland).

2009 – USAID project “The Energy Capacity Initiative Project” (ECI) was implemented in the University.

2009 – The University signed the Agreement with the international organization AIESEC.

2009 – The Agreement was signed with Heidenheim University (Germany).

2009 – On the basis of the agreement with Heidenheim University (Germany), two students of the Faculty of Business and Management passed one semester course at the mentioned higher educational institution.

2009 – The Agreement was signed with the University of Scranton (USA).

2009 – Within the program of Energy Capacity initiative, the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management participated in the workshop organized and supported by USAID which was held in Wisconsin University (USA).

2009 – The University signed the Agreement Hove College (UK).

2009 – The University started implementation of Liberal-American programme which is analogue of the “Bachelor’s Academic Programme in Liberal Art”.

2009 – Presentation of the project “The Federalist Papers” was held at the USA Embassy.
