About the Centre
One of the important structures of the University is the Centre for Criminalistics Training and Expertise, which, with its equipment, is unique, one of its kind in the Georgian educational space. The labs are equipped with the latest forensic equipment, spectrometers, optical and digital microscopes, dactyloscopic material, ultraviolet, infrared, and other alternative light sources, night vision devices, investigative cases, digital phototechnics, and more.
The center also has audio-visual equipment, specialized video films, and special computer programs: all basis for forming the knowledge and skills required of the investigator.
In addition to educational and scientific activities, the Centre serves various expert orders from individuals, courts and other organizations. Among the orders undertaken by the Centre are a number of high-profile criminal cases in which it has played a key role.
